This page explains how to delete your account and all associated data from our Expense Tracker app. Please read carefully before proceeding.
How to Delete Your Account
Follow these steps to delete your account:
- Open the Expense Tracker app on your mobile device
- Tap on your profile picture at the top of the screen
- A modal will appear with a list of options
- Select Settings from the list
- Scroll down to the bottom of the Settings screen
- Tap the red "Delete Account" button
- Confirm your decision when prompted
- Your account will be immediately deleted
What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- All expense records and transaction history
- User profile information
- App settings and preferences
- Any categories or custom tags you created
- All backed-up data (if applicable)
Deletion Timeline
⏱️ Immediate Deletion
Your account and all associated data are deleted immediately upon confirmation. There is no recovery period or grace period to change your mind.
Alternative: Clear Data Only
💡 Keep Your Account
If you want to keep your account but remove all expense data, you can clear your data from the app settings without deleting your entire account. This allows you to start fresh while maintaining your account credentials and settings.
